The Globe and Mail
Tuesday, December 14, 1999Ucluelet -- Three teenaged girls have beaten a girl and tried unsuccessfully to set her hair on fire, in an assault reminiscent of the 1997 killing of Reena Virk.
Police say a girl 14 or 15 years old was lured to a remote beach in the Vancouver Island community by fellow students immediately after school Thursday. She was then assaulted with weapons by three masked teenaged girls.
Three girls are facing charges of assault with a weapon and wearing a disguise in the commission of an offence. CP
