Friday April 19 04:39 PM EDT Mother Gets 10 Years Probation For Daughter's Drowning
Yahoo NewsA Bexar County jury Friday sentenced a woman to 10 years probation for the drowning of her 4-year-old daughter.
The jurors' choice of punishment for Lisa Prescott, 33, was a minimum of probation to a maximum of 22 years in prison.
Prescott was found guilty Thursday on a charge of causing injury to a child by omission when the defendant's daughter was found drowned in an apartment complex hot tub in 1999.
During the trial, several people who used to work at the North Side apartment complex where Prescott lived testified that they would often find the victim and her twin sister wandering around the complex by themselves.
Prescott's surviving daughter has been in protective custody since her sibling's death.
