Hadley a `low risk'
Prosecutor tells inquest
Toronto SunA Durham prosecutor said he saw no signs that Ralph Hadley's history of harassing his estranged wife would spiral into murder, a coroner's inquest heard yesterday
Assistant Crown attorney Frank Giordano did say he was concerned that a "low risk" Hadley, 34, would continue to stalk Gillian Hadley if he was released on bail and would breach court orders to stay away from her
But he said, "it did not cross my mind that presented a homicide in the making."
Giordano was cross-examined yesterday by a lawyer for the Ontario Association of Interval and Transition Housing.
Last year, Giordano opposed bail for Hadley, who appeared in court Feb. 28,2000, on charges of harassing Gillian, 35, and breaching court orders. The judge released him on $5,000 bail.
Four months later, Hadley shot Gillian and himself.
