Alberta: Girl expected to recoverNational Post
EDMONTON - An eight-year-old girl who was stabbed at her home is expected to recover fully. Police said yesterday they have charged her mother with attempted murder and possession of a weapon. The mother, 42, was remanded in custody after a court appearance yesterday for a psychiatric assessment. A judge also issued a publication ban on the girl's name. The girl, who was stabbed several times on Monday, was listed in stable condition yesterday.
