REGINA - The mother and grandmother of three children who died in a house fire have been charged with negligence. Eight-year-old Jesse Pinacie, her sister Torrie, 5, and their brother Chance, 3, died in a late-night fire last July on the Yellow Quill First Nations reserve, east of Saskatoon. Investigators determined the children had been left unattended when the fire started. Leona Nippi, 29, and Betty Nippi, 56, are charged with criminal negligence causing death and failing to provide the necessities of life.
