Girls score higher grades
VANCOUVER - Girls consistently outperform boys in secondary school even when girls' scores in provincial exams are lower, says a study that suggests B.C. schools may be biased in favour of girls. The Fraser Institute says a six-year analysis shows girls record higher Grade 12 marks than boys. Girls are also more likely to graduate because school-based marks boost girls' scores, the study said.
