ONTARIO: Woman convicted for abusing girl

OSHAWA -- A woman who masqueraded as a teenaged boy was convicted yesterday of having sex with a 12-year-old girl with a sex toy.
The court overruled the defence's argument that 22-year-old Kelly Ann Laird was not criminally responsible for her behaviour due to mental illness. The victim thought she was having intercourse with a 15-year-old boy named Kelly Slater, who she had met over the Internet. CP
